ode to orange

type experiments

I was asked to choose a color, identify objects and concepts related to that color, and affect type in various ways related to the object or concept.

Choosing orange, I experimented with making letterforms out of objects and conceptually affecting type and object, exploring semiotic layering.

I am currently teaching the course from which this project derives: Type Experiments at Academy of Art University.
